Visitors to Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park can still join ranger-led Fossil House tours on weekends for the next few weeks.
Per the official 2026 schedule posted by Nevada State Parks, tours run at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Labor Day through Nov. 1. The tours are free with the park day-use fee ($5 Nevada vehicles, $10 non-resident). Viewing windows remain available outside tour times.
The park itself stays open year-round for self-guided exploration of the Berlin ghost town, nature trails and the 14-site campground. Drinking water is typically available through the end of October. Seasonal fire restrictions may still apply; check posted rules.
Access is via SR 844 east of Gabbs. No cell service exists at the park. Services are limited in Gabbs; none in Ione.
Schedules can shift with staffing or weather. Call the park at 775-427-9332 or email [email protected] before making the drive. Information drawn from parks.nv.gov as of early October.
