Reader comments, flags, and filings are third-party speech. The desk may hide or remove them. That is not an admission that the underlying story was false.

Defamation and corrections

If we got a fact wrong, flag the story or write the city editor. We correct on the story when we can verify the error. A disagreement about tone is not a correction. We do not unpublish as a favor.
