The Bureau of Land Management has approved the County Line Mine Plan of Operations on approximately 452 acres of public land near Gabbs, spanning Nye and Mineral counties. The decision followed completion of an environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact.

County Line Minerals Corp. may expand two existing open pits and related waste-rock facilities, add stockpiles, construct an access road and crushing facilities, and conduct limited exploration. The operation is expected to produce about 4.4 million tons of material over roughly four years using contract mining. Crushed ore will be hauled off-site for processing at the Isabella Pearl Mine near Hawthorne.

BLM officials described the project as supporting domestic mineral production and providing an economic boost to the local area. The site lies roughly nine miles southwest of Gabbs and 20 miles northeast of Luning, accessible from SR 361.

Implementation remains subject to other permits, bonding, and operational requirements. Full documents are available on the BLM National NEPA Register. This report is drawn from the September 2025 BLM press release and decision record; current on-the-ground status should be verified with the operator or field office.
