A Wind Advisory is in effect for portions of the Gabbs Valley corridor and surrounding areas starting Saturday, with south to southwest winds expected to increase and gusts potentially reaching 40-45 mph or higher at times through early next week.

National Weather Service forecasts for Gabbs call for sunny and mild conditions Friday with highs near 80-83 degrees, then windy Saturday with highs in the mid-70s, followed by cooler temperatures, numerous showers Sunday into Monday, and light snow accumulations possible at higher elevations. Lows drop into the 30s and 40s. Blowing dust is possible with the stronger winds.

Remnants of a tropical system are contributing moisture and the unsettled pattern across the Southwest. A Hydrologic Outlook is also noted. Travelers on SR 361, Pole Line Road, US 95 near Hawthorne or Fallon via Middlegate, and Green Springs Summit should prepare for reduced visibility, high-profile vehicle challenges, and changing road conditions.
